The Sketch, Not Depth.

She doesn’t know?
Don’t you know?

You look
You admire
You fuel lust
Your desire

But she doesn’t see

Your love is a breeze
It’s not felt
It passes quickly
It doesn’t linger
Doesn’t defy gravity
No leverage
No weight
In eternity

Nothing you say
Nothing you do
Could make her love you

You love her from afar
You care for her face
Not her heart

Oh you’re foolish!
Oh but that is man

The woman desires to be known
To be seen
For her heart to be what he admires
But he sees her face
He sees her beauty

He delights not in her character
But in who she seems to be
The persona
The light ray not the shadow
He sees the silhouette
Empties her of substance
Desires the frame
The sketch
Not the depth

See;
She knows true love
She knows intimacy

for HE

HE knows her form
HE knows her intricately

HE fills her form
Ah!
l i g h t

HE sees her heart

HE loves her

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” 1 John 4:9-10

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.
The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” ~ 1 John 3:1

God is love. He didn’t need us. But he wanted us. And that is the most amazing thing.  ~ Rick Warren

When the time comes for you to die, you need not be afraid, because death cannot separate you from God’s love.  ~ Charles Surgeon
