Ten Transformational Truths

Teach yourself these truths. Reflect on these reminders.
Hold onto the abundance of lovely.

confidence-aol1.Confidence is found in the Lord.
We can have security in who we are, a standing on a sure faith foundation, because we are adopted into God’s family through Christ (Ephesians 1:5, Romans 8:14). We can cry out “Abba Father” to him, and He will hear (Romans 8:15). He comforts us, and keeps us from capture, calling us into His care, and equipping us with the character and courage to live like Christ.

followme-aol2. We can step into the shoes of the Son of God.
We are called to be followers, falling into footsteps of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  Jesus was sent from heaven by the Father, becoming flesh for us. Our Abba Father chose to send His one and only Son to demonstrate the extent of His love for His children (John 3:16). He KNOWS what it is like to be human, to struggle, to suffer. His Son suffered in our place, so that we can receive God’s grace and walk in the light of salvation. We are called to follow Jesus’ sacrifice, and surrender our lives, repenting to receive forgiveness, to enter into gospel-living, echoing this message to all we meet.

love-aol3. Love is the most attractive garment.
Wear your heart on your sleeve. Not in a careless manner, but with care. Love comes from a place of compassion and courage. We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:10,19). We can clothe ourselves in this truth, as a visual expression of the transformation of our hearts in Christ.

light-aol4. True light comes from a place of darkness.
We would not know light if we did not know darkness. First, there is darkness. Then, there can be light. We were born from dark to light. We can be reborn in Christ, and also brought from our darkness. We can know true light when we know God. He is everlasting light (Isaiah 60:19) .When He spoke, there was light (Genesis 1:3). He spoke light into the darkness. He sent His Son to embody what it means to live in the light. We too can choose to speak light, to bring light, to breathe and live in the light. The Christ-like are candles, shining, glowing, radiating the truth, light, and love of the Lord. We are lights on a hill, burning bright for the kingdom.

seek-aol5. There is hope in the heavens –  Look to the Lord for life.
Where does our help come from? Our help comes from the Lord! (Psalm 121:1-2) Where can we search? We can search within, the hope of heavens dwells in our hearts through the Spirit. Look to the Kingdom of God, the things of the eternal, the image of God, the gospel of Christ. When we seek companionship and intimacy in the spiritual realm, we are clothed in Christ’ righteousness before the presence of the glorious God of the heavens. Christ enables us to live for the kingdom, and to live righteous and redeemed in the eyes of Abba Father (1 Corinthians 1:30).

watch-aol6.  Anything is possible for those who believe.
The Lord answers the impossible with the possible. We have been sent the Spirit of revelation so that we might SEE. Those who were once blind can have their eyes opened through Christ to the impossible that is made possible in God (Psalm 146:8). He is full of possibility. We can tap into Him and therefore possibilities. Trusting in the Lord, believing that Christ is who He says He is, means that we are given a new lens to see the world. If we watch, keeping alert and awake to His vision, then we can see His message brought to life. His Word is His Son. In and through Christ we see truth transform things. (Mark 10:27, Matthew 19:26, Luke 18:27, Zechariah 8:6).
strength-aol7.  We do not have to do it in our own strength.
Those who surrender themselves, depending on Abba Father with all they have, are filled with His fuel. He feeds the empty heart with His Spirit and love. He quenches the thirst of those who yearn and long for His Living Water (John 7:38, Revelation 7:17). The God of the Angel Armies is fighting for you (Nehemiah 4:20). He defends and protects you, and provides strength and power to you, so the devil will not defeat or destroy you .
temptation-aol

8.  Prayer is a tool to tackle the tests of temptation.
Prayer is powerful. The Spirit teaches us how to pray, and translates the cries of our heart to the Father (Romans 8:26-7). As we are tempted in this life, there is a battle for our heart. The Spirit strengthens our body, soul, mind, heart, spirit – filling us with life and truth, the Living Water that replaces the thirst and temptation to give in to the desires of the flesh. The Lord longs for us to ask Him for what we need, so we do not have to fear asking for STRENGTH, to overcome the things of this world that tear us from committing our hearts entirely to Him (Luke 11:9-10, John 14:13-14).

shespeaks-aol9. Those who listen to the Lord will have lips that speak life.
The Father longs for relationship with His children, reaching out to the generations from the genesis of time. His Word, the Scriptures, are our love letter from Him. We can read His teaching. When we receive the Spirit through accepting Christ as Saviour, we are can KNOW this teaching in our hearts. As neuroscience suggests: thoughts lead to words, words lead to actions. If we let God’s truth soak into our thoughts, then our minds will be the mouth of our hearts, and our tongue will translate these wisdoms and faithful teachings into words, and we will mirror the actions of Christ. Our behaviour and lives change when we proclaim His name.

christlife-aol10. There is more to life than life itself.
In Christ we are a new creation, and as creatures of the eternal, our hope is in heaven, the things that are not yet seen (2 Corinthians 5:17, Colossians 1:5). We are not of this world (John 18:36). So, to live is Christ, to follow his footsteps. But to die? Because Christ rose from the grave, he has overcome all fear of death (1 Corinthians 15:55). We can stand on His victory at the cross, and look forward with hope, as we have eternal treasure in the kingdom of God beyond the framework of the physical, the temporal, the world – our understanding of time and death is nothing compared to the unfathomable timelessness and life of heaven (1 Timothy 6:19).

I pray that these truths will touch you and transform you. May you set these truths in the eternal, not temporal, foundations of your future. Xx
