Goodbye Guilt

In the morning, half-awake.
Can’t lay. Can’t lay.
Need to get up for the day.

On the bed, feeling spent.
Can’t rest. Can’t rest.
Don’t deserve to own a bed.

G U I L T

Thickly spread.
Heavy.

Deny self.
Deny self.

No.

The ministry of condemnation is replaced.
The ministry of righteousness reigns in Christ.

He made right.
He is life.

Goodbye chains.

I receive his mercy today.

G R A C E

Freely lain.
Light.

I may be unworthy.
But I’m saved.
Covered by grace.

I may make mistakes.
But I’m justified.
Clothed in Christ.

The lifted veil.
The exposed heart.
The softened mind.
The Spirit inside.

t h i s

This is life.
Turning to the Lord.
Where there is
Freedom.
Forgiveness.
